I attended college at both the University of California Irvine and Case Western Reserve University. For more than three years now, I have worked as a tutor for students from ages 5 to 15. For most of my life I have been on the other side of things, acting in the position of student. I have found that this helps me relate to many of the problems students encounter when trying to master a subject and having their question go unanswered. Some of the keys that I have found in my tutoring are clear and concise communication, patience, and the development of fun activities to make the lessons more enjoyable and engaging. I have experience in and am comfortable teaching subjects all across the spectrums of Math and Science. I also like to share organizational and study tips with my students so they can apply them to any problem or subject they encounter as they go forward in their education. When I am not working as a tutor, I like to spend my time staying active by hiking, kayaking, camping, swimming, and traveling. I also enjoy reading, crafting, volunteering, and cross-stitching.
