Experience
During my tutor session, I bring my creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to help create a motivational learning environment. I believe in teaching students to move beyond memorizing facts and into understanding knowledge, so that they may use what they have learned throughout their life. I recently traveled to Spain to complete my Fulbright Research Grant (which I earned as a prize for my thesis in Comparative Literature) and have now moved back to New York City. I am a graduate of New York University, where I focused on Comparative Literature. I am a fluent Spanish speaker and enjoy teaching others the language. Even though I mainly focus on tutoring the Spanish Language (at any level) and Spanish Literature, I also possess strong skills in English, and am competent in tutoring Reading and Writing, as well. While I was a student at New York University, I was employed as an American Reads Tutor. Since returning from my studies in Spain, I have started working as an Arts in Education instructor. When I am not teaching, I am often in a dance studio where I rehearse for my flamenco dance profession, teach, and take lessons. Also, I enjoy crafts like sewing and jewelry making. I am an all-around creative person.
