My name is Christopher. While I am rather new to tutoring as a profession, I am not new to mentoring in general. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to teach a journalism program while still in high school. I was required to create lesson plans and grade assignments while also making sure each student received the attention and education they deserved. This ultimately lead to directing a student newspaper that the Anchorage Daily News ranked as the best in the area. Perhaps you could say this is where my love for teaching others fostered.Though my favorite area to tutor is history, I am capable of tutoring in various fields. These other fields include PSAT and SAT prep, literature, geography, grammar and mechanics, public speaking, and government. To me, the teacher is meant to act as a mentor, leading students to build up the courage to succeed in the pursuit of knowledge. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Seattle University. I am looking to further my education with a Master of Education or a Master of Arts in Teaching from a university near Cleveland, Ohio. When I am not studying or teaching, I can be found cooking, reading non-fiction novels, and watching professional soccer.
