Private tutor in Cleveland, OH
University of Arizona - BS, Physiology , Case Western - MS, Medical Physiology
Through experience, I have come to enjoy tutoring biology, Spanish, and math. I've found most students are visual learners, so I promote visual learning tools in my tutoring sessions. These include charts, concept maps, and Venn diagrams. I love one-on-one tutoring. In math, 1+1 must equal 2; there's just no other way!Teaching runs in my family. While attending the University of Arizona, I began helping students with biology in my sophomore year. Not that I was always a perfect student. I've been frustrated by difficult topics so knew how it was to be on the side, right from the start. I began by helping my peers grasp topics such as DNA transcription and translation. As Supplemental Instruction Leader for intro biology at the university, I created lesson plans, activities, and games for 350 students. I have a B.S. in Physiology and am now pursuing a master's in Medical Physiology, attending Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Touring the city gets me excited because there's so much to see. I also love basketball, so seeing LeBron return to Cleveland when I first moved here was thrilling! When there is time, I also watch NCAA/NBA basketball, cook, travel, and hang out with friends.
