I am recent graduate of Wittenberg University. I graduated summa cum laude with a 3.9 GPA and was decorated with both University Honors and Spanish Departmental Honors. I majored in Spanish and International Studies with a minor in journalism, and spent one semester studying at the University of Alicante in Alicante, Spain.
Experience
I have three years of experience working as a tutor in the Wittenberg Writing Center and have helped students with everything from finding a thesis statement to correcting grammatical errors. In order to work as a tutor, I had to enroll in and pass a course entitled "Writing Center Practice and Theory," which dealt with effective theories of tutoring. I also worked in the Foreign Language Center for one year at Wittenberg University as a Spanish tutor in addition to spending a semester volunteering as an English tutor for native Spanish speakers in the local Springfield community.
